Hosting a Roman Candle Event

Hosting a Roman Candle Event

Thank you for hosting a party with Roman Candle vases!

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS (only ~15 minutes):

  • Lay a pink tissue paper at each seat. This acts like a placemat to speed up cleanup of the small flowers.
  • Place one Roman Candle vase on each pink paper.
  • Place one rose/carnation with the long green plastic step on each pink paper.  Do not remove the plastic cone.
  • Place one flower bundle on each pink paper.
  • Place one plastic bag with the fluffy pampas on each pink paper.
  • Place one printed instruction page on each pink paper.

ABOUT THE FLOWERS

  • The flowers will last 2-5 years because all the flowers are preserved REAL flowers, including lavender, star flowers, bunny tails, button flowers, and more.
  • The instruction page includes names and descriptions of all flowers.
  • The flowers are preserved in a liquid glycerin solution for 2 weeks, so the flowers will age/wilt like fresh flowers, except over 2-5 years.

DESIGN TIPS (mentioned in the printed instructions):

  1. The plastic cone comes off the rose/carnation, but make sure everyone leaves the green plastic stem attached.  The plastic stem re-attaches to the flower if needed.
  2. Stick in the rose/carnation first, usually in the center.  The plastic stem slides through the green mesh.
  3. Stick in the larger flowers in the mini-bouquet of flowers to create a fan-shape behind the rose/carnation.  The rose/carnation will be in the front with the taller flowers behind it.
  4. You can snap all the flowers stems with your fingers (no need for scissors).
  5. Stick in the fluffy pampas from the plastic bag.
  6. Stick in the small flowers from the mini-bouquet.
  7. DESIGN TIP: keep the flowers relatively short like in the samples on the instruction page. If all the filler flowers are long, the arrangement can look chaotic.

MAINTENANCE (mentioned in the printed instructions):

  • DO NOT water the flowers.  They cannot get wet and they do not need sunlight, but direct sunlight is ok.
  • Room temperature is best, but the flowers do great anywhere between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Limited humidity is best - we do NOT recommend you put your flower arrangement in a bathroom.
