2020.5.12 Mindful Flower Mandala Workshop: a seasoned Creative Arts Therapist and florist have jointly developed this wellness workshop to reduce ANXIETY
Event description: During this 1-hour workshop, you will create a floral arrangement featuring many types of REAL flowers that last 1-2 years AND engage in a mindful arts-based self-care practice. The floral design tips our florist will share will help you create an ECO-FRIENDLY arrangement that will never need water or maintenance – no skill required. The mindful art activity led by Creative Arts Therapist Sharon Itkoff Nacache, a NYS licensed and nationally board certified Creative Arts Therapist, can increase self-awareness, feelings of relaxation and safety, and encourage a contemplative meditative practice. We will ship you the supplies (free shipping), and on the day of the workshop we will email you a Zoom login code.

How this workshop can reduce anxiety: Participants are invited to unwind, mingle, and reignite their creativity in a wellness and self-care workshop led by an experienced Creative Arts Therapist and manager of The Art Therapy Practice. Known for their calming and centering effect, mandalas--the Sanskrit word for “circle,” or “completion”--represent wholeness and often contain spiritual significance across various belief systems. In additional to a floral arrangement, we will be creating personal mandalas using flower petals via Petal+Eon. Mindful art-making can reduce anxiety and provide a welcome distraction from current stressors.
